Tennessee Governor's School

The Tennessee Governor's Schools initiative includes 12 distinct summer programs for gifted and talented rising 11th and 12th grade students. Applications should be submitted by school counselors on behalf of students prior to the stated deadline. Boys and Girls State Program  

The American Legion Boys and Girls State Program is a week-long immersive learning experience often held on a college campus.  The Boys and Girls State Program educates students about our system of government and instills greater understanding of American traditions.

Selection Criteria:

You must demonstrate above-average scholastic achievement.  (3.0 or above)

Be keenly interested in government and current issues. 

Show strong leadership skills.
